Eng. (Dr.) D A R Dolage obtained his BSc .Eng. degree from the University of Moratuwa and his Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of South Australia, Australia. Currently he serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Open University of Sri Lanka.
He commenced his career in 1986 as a Trainee Engineer at the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB), Sri Lanka and subsequently promoted as the Resident Engineer (Colombo Projects of Sri Lanka Army). He held several key positions at the CECB until he joined the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Technology, Open University of Sri Lanka in 1994 as a Senior Lecturer. Dr. Dolage has made a significant contribution to the faculty by serving as the Head of the Department (from 2002-2004), Faculty Senior Student Counsellor, Coordinator, University Development Grant, Coordinator, Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Management and Warden of the Hostel.
He has a successful research career with many national and international publications to his credit. He is the recipient of several fellowships and awards which include Honorary Fellow, granted by the School of Management, University of Liverpool, UK, Commonwealth Academic Fellowship, University of Manchester, UK and the Prestigious PIMA Achiever Award, 2004 (by Postgraduate Institute of Management Alumni). He has been actively involved in IESL activities and currently he serves as a Member of the IESL Council, representing the class of Fellows.
